RE: Cool Mods

You can check for different wheels on Northern Tools website also. They have quite a few to look at.

RE: RV Tips and Tricks

I have one that will also help with the "fat wallet" as well as the "sweaty money" problem. When I was deploying last fall, I carried my cards and cash in my pocket, but while out with friends I lost my govt travel card. Next day while down in the hotel gift store I found one of these Waterproof Carrier
I run the lanyard through a belt loop, then drop the carrier through the loop. My money, id, and credit cards are all secure and dry. Even though I am back in the States I still do this.

RE: CELL PHONE INTERNET ACCESS

chrisguld,
Good tip, I just dug around on the back of my motoq and found it right where you said it would be. Since Alltel is being bought out by Verizon, how much extra does it cost you to use your cell phone for a modem?

RE: Installing a Tornado?

I have one that I am going to install, however I have a quick question. It says to install it on the side opposite your level sensors. I cannot do that as my sensors are on the end about 6 inches from the frame and the tank is a couple of inches from the frame on the other end. What is the best place to position it in this case?

RE: CELL PHONE INTERNET ACCESS

well, looks like I will be joining all you on Verizon due to the new merger with Alltel. So what can I expect with my plan I have now? Will it go away, or will they honor it? something I am not looking forward to.

RE: Hanging a Clock...Assistance Please, lol!

I have my atomic clock hung on a cupboard door with the 3M Command velcro strips. Stays there well and have also used the same strips to hang picture frames in the TT. When I travel, I just take the items down and reattach them when I am set up.

RE: Coachman Micro Propane quick connect

i think what he is trying to do is use the quick connect to feed to a stove or grill that is usually used with the small disposable bottles. You know, like the newer Coleman stoves use.

RE: Flags on campers

Best answer I can give is, take a look at how many of your RVers have had something to do with the military. Both on and off base, you will find a strong military base (active, guard, reserve, retired) who have a great love of both our country and the flag that proudly flies over it. Many of these same veterans are proud to show their love of this flag no matter where they go. Besides which, tell me it doesn't look beautiful to see an American flag waving with a the backdrop you will find in a lot of your campgrounds.
This is just my two cents worth.
I now return you to your regularly scheduled rants.

RE: CELL PHONE INTERNET ACCESS

I use a MotoQ with the 1200 minute Nationwide w/data plan (1200 anytime minutes, 7pm nights and weekends, unlimited mobile to mobile, unlimited text, unlimited data)plus I have 10 people I can use for MyCircle. It costs 109 dollars before tax, and then I pay an additional 10 dollars a month to tether my laptop to it for regular internet. Works pretty good for me and haven't had too many complaints. Funny thing is, a lot of the places where Verizon is, they are using Alltel towers. They both use the CDMA technology for their phones.

RE: natural gas in my DuraMax

Back when I was a kid growing up on the farm in Nebraska, there were quite a few of the custom combiners that ran the propane conversions on their pickups. Never understood why, but there were a lot of them that did it. Must have been some good reason since they did a lot of travelling during the harvest times. If I remember right they could be switched between the diesel and the propane.

RE: CELL PHONE INTERNET ACCESS

Not to hijack the thread, but I have noticed that there are not that many of us that use Alltel out there. Is there any reason for this? I have had good luck with them and have been with them for six years. Any ideas on this?

RE: Oxygenics shower head...opinions

I ordered one while I was deployed to Iraq and installed it when I got back. I love it. Great shower, and uses less water. If you do a search in all the posts, you will find one that tells what part number to get for a shutoff at Lowe's that will work good with it. Also, it was a post on here that pointed me to where I got it. 29.99. Best price I have found on it, and I have not been disappointed. Just my 25 cents worth (inflation ya know)/ :)

RE: The Marines are looking for a...

They are not staying in it full time, just wanting to give our Wounded Warriors a chance to get away from some of their problems and feel like a human again. Anyone who has ever lived in any kind of barracks understands how much of a morale builder it is to get away from them, if only for a few days.

I don't have any specific info for ya, but if you look around on the site I know I have seen quite a few people on here that have had RVs adapted to suit various disabilities. Think this is a great idea, and I wish you the best of luck with it. I will keep my eyes peeled for more info also.
Good luck!

RE: Radio Mod

Like the install. I am thinking of doing something like that in my TT. Currently it has one of the no name CD/DVD/FM 120 volt units. Wanna do kind of a 12 volt miniature rack system. I was looking at starting with something like this here
AcceleVision Indash/Underseat DVD/CD/MP3 Player w/TV Tuner
